Since 2005 our highly experienced team of professionals have provided our wide range of clientele with innovative engineering, scientific solutions and practical advice to help mitigate risk, liability and damage to human health, environmental health and planet health.

Chris goletsos

Chris Golestos

Managing Director & Principal Consultant

With a background in chemistry, Chris has over 26 years’ experience in the risk assessment and risk mitigation arena with particular expertise in the occupational health and safety industry. Chris obtained his NATA accreditation to estimate airborne asbestos dust on 10 January 2001. In 2002, he obtained signatory status for this method whilst working with Noel Arnold and Associates. Chris has considerable experience in the development and project management of OHS management programs leading to the implementation of practical and cost-effective solutions.

Anand Ramanujam

Senior Hygiene Consultant

Anandaraj (Anand) is a highly experienced Occupational Health & Safety professional with a demonstrated history of working across multidisciplinary teams & diverse industries, holding multiple Postgraduate Qualifications in OH&S, Engineering & Business Management from RMIT, Curtin University, Central Queensland University and Madurai Kamaraj University. He is a certified NATA laboratory analyst as well as a senior project manager on some of the largest infrastructure, industrial and commercial projects.

Michael

Thanh (Michael) Nguyen

Senior Hygiene Consultant

Michael is a highly experienced professional with 12 years in the Occupational Health & Safety industry, including over a decade specialising in Occupational Hygiene. He has successfully contributed to a wide range of projects, from small-scale residential assessments to large-scale developments across diverse sectors including construction, commercial, and education.

Michael’s expertise lies in conducting critical assessments and preparing scientific reports related to mould, indoor air quality and hazardous material exposure risks. His work involves detailed workplace hygiene evaluations, including air monitoring, hazardous materials sampling, and the preparation of legally compliant documentation to support WHS obligations and stakeholder due diligence.

With a strong focus on collaboration, Michael works closely with property owners, workplace managers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective, mutually satisfactory outcomes. He holds a Bachelor of Science from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) and is known for his technical knowledge, attention to detail, and practical approach to occupational health challenges.

Miranda Mackey

Senior Hygiene Consultant

Miranda is a skilled occupational health and safety consultant with a strong background in hazardous materials assessment, mould and water damage remediation, and indoor air quality investigations.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in environmental studies and began her career in Canada, where she developed expertise in managing asbestos, lead, PCBs, and mould across large educational and industrial facilities.

Since joining LRM Global in 2023, Miranda has become a vital member of the Hygiene team, supporting major industrial, government, and corporate clients with her specialised knowledge.

Steven Laios

Specialist Consultant

Steven has been undertaking industrial hygiene works over the last 15 years. He is an accomplished Occupational Hygienist delivering comprehensive hygiene solutions across a diverse range of sectors, including educational institutions, government infrastructure, warehousing, and manufacturing. Steven has been involved in projects of varying scale and complexity, consistently demonstrating strong technical skills and attention to detail. His area/s of expertise includes hazardous materials surveys and assessments in, asbestos,  lead, chemical investigation, clandestine laboratories, mould, noise, exposure and control air monitoring, as well as risk and compliance auditing. Steven holds a Bachelor of Applied Science Degree majoring in Chemistry from Victoria University and completed his post graduate studies at Deakin University in Occupational Hygiene in 2014. He is also a certified NATA laboratory fibre counter for asbestos and combines advance technical knowledge with practical, field-based experience to provide high-quality hygiene and safety outcomes.

Leo Rekkas

Specialist Consultant

Leo has over 20 years’ industry experience as an Industrial Hygienist and an OH&S consultant. A polymath and a background in mechanical engineering, building and design. Leo has established himself in the industry with a vast experience in working with some of Victoria’s largest property groups, educational institutions as well as major government infrastructure projects from Rail, Ports, Healthcare and Education.

Yujing

Dr. Yujing Zhang

Senior Environmental Consultant

Yujing is an experienced Environmental Scientist with extensive technical knowledge in contaminated land management, environmental risk assessment and public health advisory services.

Yujing holds a PhD degree of Environmental Science from the University of Melbourne and has seven years of research experience in Environmental Science and Soil Science.  Before joining LRM Global, Yujing worked at EPA Victoria for over three years, contributing to various DTP (Department of Transport and Planning)-led Major projects and VPA (Victorian Planning Authority)-led rezoning projects encompassing mining, quarry operations, wind farms and new urban developments.

Yujing’s expertise include managing acid sulphate soils, assessing sodic soil, dealing with historic land contaminants for land rezoning, and handling land contamination resulting from treated wastewater irrigation, animal carcasses burial and biosolids/biochar application.

Niamh Kelly

Senior Environmental Consultant

Niamh has over 4 years’ experience across a diverse range of small to large environmental projects in the contaminated land industry, including the preparation and management of Environmental Impact Assessment Reports (EIAR), Environmental Impact Assessment Screening Reports, construction environmental management plans, construction and demolition waste management plans, resource and waste management plans, waste audit strategies, waste management strategies and waste systems design. Other responsibilities included assisting with project management of Industrial Emissions Licencing applications and compliance with licencing conditions for large multinational clients. In addition, Niamh has completed site assessments (soil and groundwater), and field investigations.

Nabeel

Nabeel Hossain

Senior Environmental Consultant

Nabeel is a highly skilled environmental consultant with over five years of industry experience, including a strong specialisation in contaminated land management. He has delivered successful outcomes across diverse sectors such as construction, mining, and energy, demonstrating expertise in environmental site assessments, remediation strategies, and stakeholder engagement.

His capabilities include leading complex remediation projects, conducting soil, groundwater, and landfill gas investigations, performing hazardous materials audits (with a focus on asbestos), and mentoring junior consultants. Nabeel brings a rigorous, safety-focused approach to environmental risk management and is adept at translating technical insights into practical solutions for clients.

Holding a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering (Honours) from RMIT University, Nabeel also has a solid foundation in sustainability and environmental impact assessment, gained through his earlier work on renewable energy and emissions reduction initiatives. He has served as site lead on major remediation projects, including high-profile legacy industrial sites.

OHS Hygiene Consultant

Jordan is an accomplished Occupational Hygienist with three years of industry experience, delivering comprehensive hygiene solutions across a diverse range of sectors, including education, warehousing, and manufacturing. Jordan has been involved in projects of varying scale and complexity, consistently demonstrating strong technical acumen and attention to detail. His areas of expertise includes hazardous materials surveys and assessments, asbestos and lead paint sampling, exposure and control air monitoring (with a focus on asbestos), mould assessments, noise mapping and assessments, as well as risk and compliance auditing. Jordan holds a Master of Engineering (Chemical) and combines advance technical knowledge with practical, field-based experience to provide high-quality hygiene and safety outcomes.

Jonathan has 9 years’ total experience in the Construction industry with over 8 years’ experience specialising in OHS. He has worked on a wide scale of projects from small to large, across a broad range of industries. Jonathan is an experienced Consultant with extensive project experience and technical knowledge holding a Bachelor of Applied Sciences (Construction Management) from RMIT University. Jonathan is an experienced Consultant who has specialised in the construction industry for more than 8 years.

Akanksha Bhavsar

OHS Hygiene Consultant

Akanksha is a skilled Occupational Hygienist with two years of hands-on experience in the Hygiene and Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) industry. She has contributed to a wide range of projects—spanning from small-scale assessments to large, complex operations—across diverse industry sectors. Her technical expertise includes asbestos sampling, air monitoring, clearance inspections, pre-remediation assessments, and post-remediation verification testing. Akanksha brings a strong combination of practical field experience and academic excellence, holding a Master of Environmental Science and an MBA with a specialisation in Project Management.

Josh is an experienced occupational hygienist with two years in the Hygiene and Occupational Health & Safety industry. He has contributed to a variety of projects across diverse sectors, ranging from small-scale assessments to large industrial operations. Joshua holds a Bachelor of Environmental Science from Griffith University and brings strong technical expertise in asbestos and lead paint sampling, air monitoring, clearance inspections, HAZMAT assessments, asbestos makesafe works, and clandestine laboratory investigations.

James Thomas

Quality Assurance Co-Ordinator

James holds a Bachelor of Biomedical Science, majoring in microbiology. He began his career with a placement at the Victorian Infectious Diseases Reference Laboratory (VIDRL) before joining LRM Global in 2016 as our Quality Assurance Co-Ordinator. James is known for his strong attention to detail, which makes him a key contributor in co-ordinating NATA audits, managing quality control programs, and overseeing equipment calibration and certification

Thelma Mihalitsis

Laboratory Manager

Thelma joined LRM in 2014 and holds a Bachelor of Chemical and Environmental Science. She is NATA-accredited in Asbestos Identification and Fibre Counting and brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her role. Thelma is known for providing consistency and reliability in the management, guidance, and leadership of the laboratory team. Her responsibilities include sample preparation and analysis, equipment calibration, data reporting, and quality control. Dedicated to delivering excellent customer service, her positive attitude and professionalism help foster a collaborative and efficient environment across the laboratory and the wider LRM team.

Preeti Bedi

Laboratory Technician

Since joining LRM Global in 2021, Preeti has been a dedicated and meticulous member of the laboratory team. With a Master’s Degree in Microbiology and a Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques, she brings both deep knowledge and practical skill to her role. Preeti is NATA-accredited in Asbestos Identification and is actively involved in all stages of the sample lifecycle—from receiving and preparation to analysis, calibration, and quality control. Her attention to detail and commitment to excellent customer service make her a valued asset to both clients and colleagues alike.
